Why Right Start Training ?

We train thousands of learners every year, making workplaces all over the UK a safer place for everyone.

Food Safety

Safe steps in food handling, cooking, and storage can help prevent food-borne illness. As well as the staff who prepare the food, other staff have an important role to play from the front of house staff to the kitchen porter to the manager and the food business operator. We offer food safety courses at every level.

First Aid

First Aid is the assistance given to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury before the arrival of qualified medical assistance. The main aims of First Aid are to preserve life, prevent the condition from getting any worse and promote recovery. Learn essential skills and techniques that could make the difference between life and death.

Health & Safety

Health & Safety training gives employees the fundamental skills and knowledge to be able to carry out work tasks in a safe manner within a safe environment. Our courses will familiarise candidates with the main hazards within their work environment and the essential control and preventative measures they can take to avoid harm or injury to themselves and others.

Fire Safety

The awareness of fire hazards is vital for every staff member in the workplace. Every employee should be given basic vital knowledge in recognising potential fire hazards and simple preventative and control measures that can be taken to avoid or minimise the risk of fire occurring. Employees should also be aware of basic procedures that should be followed in an emergency situation.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is the initial help and support given to a person who may be developing a mental health problem (including a substance use problem), experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aiders are trained staff who can offer the initial help and support when problems have been recognised or if they have been approached, ultimately they will help the sufferer access the help and support they need to deal with their problems by helping to access medical interventions or signposting them to organisations and charities set up to deal with various types of mental health issues. Importantly, Mental Health First Aiders are not trained mental health practitioners, in a similar way that conventional first aiders are not paramedics or doctors.
